The Top 5 contestants performed two songs each during Monday night’s show, after being mentored by Lin-Manuel Miranda at Disneyland. Voting was open during the show, and at the end of the night, Ryan Seacrest announced the Top 3 — Jamal Roberts, John Foster, and Breanna Nix.
During the show, Jamal Roberts delivered an uplifting rendition of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, which was famously featured in Remember the Titans. He later shared a soulful performance of “Beauty and the Beast,” from the film of the same name.
John Foster also delivered two great performances during Monday night’s show, including a fun rendition of “The Bare Necessities” from The Jungle Book. He later took the stage for a tender performance of “Rainbow Connection” from The Muppet Movie.
Meanwhile, Breanna Nix was the last woman standing in the competition. First, she delivered a powerhouse performance of “This Will Be” by Natalie Cole, featured in The Parent Trap. Breanna also performed “You’ll Be in My Heart” from Tarzan, bringing tears to her husband’s eyes in the audience.

Who Was Eliminated from the Competition?
Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to two talented singers during Monday night’s show — Thunderstorm Artis and Slater Nalley. They didn’t earn enough votes to make it into the Season 23 finale next week.
During the show, Thunderstorm (a former The Voice contestant) performed “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from Cinderella, as well as “Find Yourself” by Brad Paisley, from Cars. Meanwhile, Slater performed “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story and “Born to Be Wild” by Steppenwolf, featured in D3: The Mighty Ducks.
Slater, Thunderstorm, and the other singers in the Top 14 will be back to perform during Sunday’s finale. Judges Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie will also take the stage, along with guest performers including Jessica Simpson, Jelly Roll, Patti LaBelle, Salt-N-Pepa, Jennifer Holliday, Josh Groban, and more.
