American Idol Season 24 winner Hannah Harper has a busy summer ahead of her. Not only is the singer making her Grand Ole Opry debut next month, but she’s also embarking on a tour of the United States.
American Idol Winner Hannah Harper Announces Tour Dates
Earlier this month, Hannah Harper was announced as the winner of American Idol Season 24. The singer is wasting no time getting back on stage, as she’s set to make her Grand Ole Opry debut on June 2 in Nashville, with judge Carrie Underwood appearing with her.
Harper also has a number of performances lined up throughout the summer and into the fall, which she is dubbing her String Cheese Tour. The name comes from the title of Harper’s original song, which she performed in her American Idol audition.
“Almost every weekend until September, October, is booked fully,” Harper told USA Today. “This was in the works prior to coming to Idol, but it’s mainly smaller, intimate settings, theaters, festivals and stuff like that.”
Fans can see a full list of Harper’s upcoming live performances, with links to buy tickets, on her website. She shared that she left herself enough time to rest “for, like, two weeks” after her time competing on American Idol.
Hannah Harper’s audition song, “String Cheese,” was inspired by the mother of three’s experience with postpartum depression. The song brought tears to judge Carrie Underwood’s eyes, and it ended up going viral as the lyrics connected with fellow parents.
“Knowing that I could connect with other women who were feeling the same as me – women and men, really – that meant everything to me,” Harper told USA Today. “And that I had the opportunity to share my ministry, basically, and my relationship with the Lord, all of those things are precious to me. So every step of the way has been awesome.”
