American Idol Season 21 is about to come to a close with Sunday night’s finale, as a winner will finally be revealed. The competition has been narrowed down to the Top 3 singers, but who will earn America’s vote?

American Idol Season 21 Finale to Feature Top 3 Singers

During the most recent episode, the Season 21 competition was narrowed down to the Top 3 singers — Megan Danielle, Colin Stough, and Iam Tongi. They’ll take the stage one last time on Sunday as America votes for which singer they want to see win the show.

Megan Danielle is a former The Voice contestant who has wowed the judges with her raspy voice on songs such as “You Say” by Lauren Daigle and “Go Rest High on That Mountain” by Vince Gill.

Colin Stough is a classic country singer who has earned America’s vote from week to week on songs such as “Midnight Rider” by The Allman Brothers Band and “Dancing on My Own” by Robyn.

Iam Tongi is a Hawaii native who always leaves his heart on the stage. He’s touched viewers with songs such as “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong and “Stuck on You” by judge Lionel Richie.

Who Will Be Named the Season 21 Winner?

All three finalists are incredible talented, but only one of them can be named the winner of American Idol. I predict that Iam Tongi will earn the title. The singer has warmed America’s hearts, and he’s likely to earn their votes during the finale.

You might expect that Colin Stough would be a shoo-in, considering the last two Idol winners (Chayce Beckham and Noah Thompson) have been male country singers. However, Colin’s online popularity simply can’t compete with Iam’s.

Just look at their Instagram followings. Iam has over 500,000 followers compared to Colin’s 130,000. His audition on the show also currently has over 16 million views on YouTube compared to Colin’s 2 million. There’s still a chance Colin will take home the title, but I think he’s more likely to be the runner-up.

As for Megan Danielle, I think she’s likely to finish the season in third place. As talented as she is, female country singers haven’t fared as well as their male counterparts in recent years. In fact, a female country singer hasn’t won the show since Carrie Underwood in Season 4.

Catch the three-hour American Idol Season 21 finale on Sunday night to see the Top 3 perform and find out who America will choose as the winner.
