‘AGT’ Winner Kodi Lee’s Cover Of ‘Old Town Road’ (Lil Nas X) Is a Must See!

Season 14 AGT winner Kodi Lee is visiting Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, this week. Kodi will perform at the school’s convocation on Friday, but he also took the time to have some fun while he was in town.
Kodi went tubing, rode a horse, and received some lovely messages from Liberty students. Oh, and did we mention he performed a cover of “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X? Check it out below.
Kodi Lee Sings ‘Old Town Road’ On A Horse
The fun started with a little tubing down a long hill. Even Kodi’s mom Tina got in on the fun. Then Kodi got the chance to ride a horse named Austin. While on horseback, the singer couldn’t resist singing a few themed songs.
He started off singing “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver. Then he broke into a cover of “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus. We’d love to hear a full performance of the song, or maybe even a duet with Lil Nas X himself.
Kodi finished the video singing “Big Green Tractor” by Jason Aldean on, well, a big green tractor. We wish we could watch Kodi narrate all his adventures through song.
Kodi Gets Messages Of Love From Liberty University
To welcome Kodi to Liberty University, many of the students handwrote messages of love and support, sharing how he inspired them. Kodi’s friend and fellow musician Sal Spinelli read out some of their words.
“I believe that your story has already inspired many on this campus, including myself,” read one of the messages, from Zachary. “Being a musician myself, you motivate me so much to be a better musician, and I am so excited for you to be here.”
“I pray you feel welcomed from the very second you step foot on campus,” wrote a student named Victoria. “You are loved.” As Sal pointed out, “that prayer has been answered,” as the school gave Kodi a very warm welcome.
