‘AGT’ Winner Bianca Ryan Rewrites The Kid Laroi’s ‘Stay’ from the Female Perspective

America’s Got Talent winner Bianca Ryan just released the music video for her version of “Stay” by The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber. She switched up the lyrics to tell the story from the female perspective. Her songwriting skills and vast vocal range prove that she is still one of the best singers who got their start on AGT.
‘AGT’ Winner Bianca Ryan Goes Viral on TikTok After Writing Her Own Version of ‘Stay’
Bianca took the original melody of the song and put her own spin on it. In “Stay” from the male perspective, The Kid Laroi sings about not being able to change for his partner. In Bianca’s version, the lyrics are heartbreaking. She goes through all of the emotions that someone feels when they fall out of love and have been betrayed.
The original version is from the perspective of the guy acknowledging his mess-ups and wanting the girl back. Bianca’s version basically tells the guy who left her brokenhearted to go home. It’s pretty empowering. Bianca sits at the piano in the music video singing “Told me you love me/But I see the way you look at her” instead of “I told you I’d change/Even when I knew I never could.”
She first posted a TikTok video singing her version of “Stay” on July 13. It was very well-received with over 3.3 million views and 586,000 likes. The original version of the song with Bieber also first went viral on TikTok. It has been used as a sound for over 1.2 million videos.

In her TikTok caption, the AGT star said she imagined the song as if The Kid Laroi came to apologize. She was stunned by how much support she got from that TikTok. Her initial thought was to release a full version of the song right away. A lot of people commented saying that her version of the song is very relatable and the story of their lives.
Bianca has been on fire with her latest music releases. She released her whimsical song “Already Gone” on August 6. Bianca also did her my own cover artwork for “Stay.” She shared on TikTok that she wants The Kid Laroi to see her video. She hopes her “life goal of doing an acoustic version of this song with him comes to life.” This led fans to continuously tag him on the TikTok video to help make this dream a reality.
