‘AGT’ Star Jon Dorenbos Reveals His Baby’s Gender In A Sweet Magic Trick

Magician Jon Dorenbos appeared on The Ellen Show this week to show the host and her audience a couple of tricks. One of those tricks included an exciting announcement — the gender of his baby!
Jon, who finished in third place during Season 11 of America’s Got Talent, announced that he and his wife Annalise Dale are expecting their first child together during the Champions season of the show.
The former NFL player underwent emergency open-heart surgery after his initial appearance on the show, so this is especially happy news. “Life is magic,” he told Ellen. “It’s a great day to be alive.”
Before he got around to the gender reveal, Jon showed off a fun trick using a cell phone belonging to Ellen’s DJ tWitch. After mixing up a bunch of paper bags (one of which supposedly contained the phone), he stomped on one, dunked one in water, and put one through a shredder. But where tWitch’s phone actually went is even more amazing.
Then Jon set up the more heartwarming of the two tricks by putting two sets of napkins in front of Ellen — a blue one and a pink one. He asked Ellen to guess if the baby would be a boy or a girl. When she grabbed a blue napkin, he suggested she try again. In other words, he and his wife are having a girl!
The next part of his trick involved Ellen ripping up one of the pink napkins as Jon gave one of his signature inspiring speeches. “We’re gonna have a little girl, and that little girl is gonna grow up in your world,” he told the host.
“She’s gonna grow up looking up to a woman like you,” he continued, “who brings us all together, piece by piece, bit by bit. And this world hopefully will be a beautiful place, with our little girl following your lead just like we all do.”
