Golden Buzzer Gabriel Henrique Returns to AGT

Tuesday night’s show featured a performance from Sofia Vergara’s Golden Buzzer act, Brazilian singer Gabriel Henrique. The singer, who can hit high notes like Whitney and Mariah, earned a standing ovation from the judges for his rendition of “Something Beautiful” by Jacob Banks.

Vergara told Gabriel that his performance was “perfection,” comparing him to an angel. Simon Cowell said the singer “nailed it,” adding that it was even better than his audition for the show earlier in the season.

The judges were also wowed by the final act of the night, which was the 82nd Airborne Division Chorus. The group delivered an emotional performance of “I Am Here” by Pink, earning yet another standing ovation.

Cowell thanked the group for their service and called them “one of my favorite acts this year.” Vergara said they stepped things up from their audition. Will these two acts be the ones who earn America’s vote and go to the finale?

Avantgardey, Ramadani Brothers Also Wow

It wasn’t just the vocal performances that impressed the judges during this week’s live show. They were also wowed by all-female Japanese dance group Avantgardey, who once again wore matching outfits and hair to deliver an amazing routine.

Heidi Klum compared them to “20 dolls that have come to life,” while Verara said they were “so weird and scary that I love it.” Cowell said they were “so different,” and Howie Mandel told them they deserve to go to the Finals.

Meanwhile, the Ramadhani brothers stunned with another dangerous routine, as one brother balanced on the other brother’s head. This week’s routine involved walking up and down stairs while blindfolded and climbing two ladders at once.

Cowell called it a “million-dollar act,” while Mandel called it his “favorite act of the night.” Will America agree with the panel and vote the Ramadhani Brothers into the Finals?

This Week’s Magicians Received Mixed Reactions

Two magicians performed during this week’s AGT live show — Mandy Muden and Sangsoon Kim. First, Mandy performed a funny routine in which she had the judges predict her outfit. Klum said the magic needed more “oomph.”

Later, Sangsoon performed an act in which he transformed objects into other objects and manipulated posters on the wall behind him. Mandel said it was hard to see some of what he was doing, and both Vergara and Cowell agreed that it wasn’t as good as his audition.

As host Terry Crews reminded fans, Wednesday’s results show will feature an instant save wildcard vote, as the judges each choose an eliminated contestant they think deserves a spot in the finale. Viewers will then vote for their favorite act to take the total number of finalists to 11.
