America’s Got Talent Season 19 returned on Tuesday night with a new round of auditions. During the show, judge Howie Mandel hit his second Golden Buzzer of the season for an impressive young singer named Reid Wilson.
Howie Mandel Hits AGT Golden Buzzer for Young Singer
During Tuesday’s episode, 14-year-old Reid Wilson took the stage to perform “You Don’t Own Me” by Lesley Gore. He showed off a voice beyond his years, blowing the judges away. After he performed, Simon Cowell called him “a gutsy little kid.”
Heidi Klum called Reid “absolutely incredible,” praising his stage presence. Sofia Vergara admitted that she wasn’t sure if he would get over his nerves, but he did. Cowell said when he closed his eyes, he couldn’t believe that he was listening to such a young singer.
When asked what artists he looks up to, Reid answered Aretha Franklin. Cowell assumed that Reid’s parents “have great taste in music,” to which Reid bluntly responded, “No.” The funny moment made the judges and audience laugh.
Howie Mandel was the last judge to give his thoughts. He told Reid that he was “surprised” by his performance, adding that one of his dreams was about to come true. He stood up and hit the Golden Buzzer to send Reid straight to the live shows. This is Mandel’s second Golden Buzzer this season, after dance group Brent Street.

What Other Acts Made It Through This Week?
Reid Wilson wasn’t the only act to surprise the judges during this week’s new episode of AGT Season 19. Toward the beginning of the show, Brazilian aerial performer Super Silva Jr. stunned the audience with his dangerous routine, in which he swung from the ceiling across the stage. He earned four “yes” votes.
Some acts made it through this week’s show despite one of the judges voting “no.” That includes dance group Espiritu, whose energetic routine failed to wow Mandel. However, the other three judges were impressed enough to send them through.
Praveen Prajapat also made it through with just three “yes” votes for his balancing act, in which he held a tower of water glasses on his head. Three of the judges were stunned by the performance, while Cowell wasn’t sure if he could up his game in the next round. Thankfully, three “yes” votes was enough to send Praveen through.
The final act of the night was Balloon Taro, an act from Japan who did something very unusual with a giant red balloon. Cowell hit his red buzzer, but he later changed his mind after the grand finale. All four judges voted “yes” to send the act through.
