You don’t want to miss Benicio Bryant’s soulful, captivating cover of “Save Your Tears” by The Weeknd. The America’s Got Talent alum has released several covers in the past, but his latest is truly one of his best.
Benicio Bryant Covers “Save Your Tears” by The Weeknd
After becoming a finalist on AGT at only 14 years old, this Maple Valley teen has seen success following his run on the series. The singer has released original music, music videos, and more. His recent acoustic cover of the popular The Weeknd song has garnered more attention than his other YouTube videos.
The song “Save Your Tears” already has a sad and gloomy meaning to it, uplifted by the catchy instrumental tunes. Bryant’s rendition features his vocals without the funky vibe of the instrumentals. His acoustic cover brings more heart to the song.
Bryant is not a stranger to performing emotional songs. Some may remember that he sang an original song titled “Six Strings (Because of You)” in the AGT finale. This song left fans in tears, due to his beautiful voice. This style has proven to be his strongest, since his most recent cover has gained over 200 thousand views in just two days.
This singer is currently a Spotify-verified artist, signed with Arista Records. Bryant has released the singles “WHO HURT YOU?,” “I Can’t Dance to This,” and “Pretty in Pink” since his journey on the series.
He Never Expected To Win AGT
Surprisingly, Bryant revealed that he didn’t audition for the show with the expectation to win. Instead, he considered his performances on the show and making it all the way to the finale as a success within itself. He was looking to begin his career and that’s truly what the outcome was.
“I honestly really wasn’t planning on winning,” Bryant said. “There’s so many amazing people in this competition. I was like, I’m going in this competition to share my music with the world. That’s what I wanted in general, and I think I did that. So I feel like I’ve won either way.”
Bryant’s AGT performance was almost perfect with very little room for improvement. His voice although soft at times could hit the high notes effectively, impressing everyone watching. The teen wanted to keep making music as a living and his AGT run helped him kickstart his musical career.
