Giving in to a married couple’s request, Adele paused her Las Vegas concert for a while to assist a couple with their gender reveal. The pop artist couldn’t help but burst into tears after participating in the special moment.
Adele Breaks Into Tears After Assisting a Couple’s Baby Gender Reveal
Amid the singer’s Weekends with Adele residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Chris Dare and wife Shantelle Lord successfully invited Adele to reveal the sex of their baby. The married couple managed to sneak in a placard that read “Adele will you do our gender reveal?.”
“No one’s really allowed signs in here. I’m just obsessed that you got one in,” Adele told them.
The singer asked the couple first if there was someone filming the major moment. Subsequently, Lord stated that they already had the envelope since the 12-week mark but waited until 18th week so Adele could be the one to break the news. Sitting at the edge of the stage, Adele then opened the envelope.
“Shantelle and Chris are having a baby — boy!,” she told the crowd.
Dare raised his arms out of happiness, then shared a hug with Adele and Lord. Moved by the sentimental event, Adele failed to stop herself from sobbing and tearing up.
“That was amazing,” she said. “I’m so happy for you! I’m so happy for you! That’s so emotional, oh my God.”
On Instagram, Dare expressed his gratitude to the singer. Deeming the night “amazing,” the dad-to-be said that they “will remember this night for the rest of our lives.”
She Jokingly Asks Them if They Could Do the Same Thing for Her
After the gender reveal, the “Easy On Me” hitmaker cracked a joke to the couple. Seemingly, Adele wants to have a baby again.
“If and when I get pregnant will you do my gender reveal?” she asked Lord.
Adele is a mother to 10-year-old son, Angelo, whom she shares with her former husband Simon Konecki. After calling it quits in 2019, the two divorced in 2021. The singer is now in a relationship with LeBron James’ agent Rich Paul. Last year, Adele expressed her desire to expand her family.
“I definitely want more kids. I’m a homemaker and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music,” she told Elle.
Be that as it may, Adele is still laser-focused on her Las Vegas residency. Weekends with Adele will be running at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace until November.
