Los Osos High School Dance Team Member Passes Away
On Monday, Los Osos High School’s dance department shared the news of Gold’s death, writing that she “embodied every aspect of our core team values through her strength, commitment, kindness, compassion, and the most humble heart.”
According to an article shared by a fan on the AGT subreddit, Gold reportedly died by suicide on Friday, August 13, after jumping off an overpass and being struck by multiple vehicles on the 210 Freeway. A fundraiser has been set up on GoFundMe for Gold’s family.
Gold was a senior at Los Osos High School. She was a cheerleader and had recently been named Varsity Dance Captain. When announcing her death, the dance team shared several sweet videos from her time in the group.

The Team Made It to the Quarterfinals
Los Osos High School is located in Rancho Cucamonga, California. The dance team went viral for recreating Super Bowl routines inspired by Rihanna and Usher. They auditioned for Season 19 of AGT earlier this year.
Although Howie Mandel voted “no” to sending them through, the other three judges voted “yes.” They ended up returning for the live Quarterfinals, performing a routine to several songs — including Fergie’s “Fergalicious”, the Black Eyed Peas’ “Pump It,” and Tag Team’s “Whoomp! (There It Is).”
Unfortunately, the group didn’t earn enough votes from viewers to move on to the Semifinals, and they were eliminated from the competition. They will not be competing in the Season 19 Finals, set to air Tuesday night on NBC.
