They say that you shouldn’t dish it out if you can’t take it. Last week, on the premiere of The Voice, new judge Jennifer Hudson threw Miley Cyrus’ shoe at singer Chris Weaver. When she ran out of shoes, she threw her notebook. According to her, it’s a sign of respect. A fan took her at her word and hurled a shoe at her during a show.
During a concert in Boston on Friday night and overzealous fan decided to follow Jen’s lead and threw a shoe at her mid song. She did say on national TV that it is a way to show appreciation where she’s from. I can’t understand how she was surprised when the shoes came flying. She laughed it off on stage and said, “I got a job to do. I’ve gotta finish this song.” Later, on Instagram, she wrote,
“I told my crew, I said Lord people [are] going to start throwing shoes at me after @nbcthevoice and yall that just what happened tonight! I got my first shoe thrown at me tonight!”
Jennifer, you can’t put ideas like that in the heads of the public. The public is dumb and they are going to start chucking their stinky shoes at your face.
