This year though was a little different for the pair, given their engagement news being so fresh. While this couple has certainly warmed America’s hearts watching their relationship unfold on ‘The Voice’. Their latest Thanksgiving post keep adding to the warmth.
Gwen And Blake’s Thanksgiving After Engagement
This Thanksgiving was something the couple was beyond grateful for. Blake shared a cute selfie of the couple on his social media. The caption reading “What a year we’ve all had, but there is still plenty to be thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving, y’all!!!” Both stars sporting big smiles in their more casual looks. Gwen seen with a more natural make-up look, wearing a knit beanie. Blake wearing his casual staple, a billed-cap. The pairs post reminding us how important it is to appreciate the things we do have this year and of their down-to-earth attitude.
A Love Story In The Making
The pair have been growing their relationship on and off the show. After 5 years of dating, the couple announced their engagement in October. Their engagement news became public after quarantining at his Oklahoma ranch for months with several of their family. It was exciting news for fans as we had all been waiting for it. Thankful For Each Other
Both Shelton and Stefani have had divorces that they helped each other through. Something Blake has spoken publically about in the past. “When I was going through my divorce and just, you know, hit rock bottom … it’s a miracle that I met somebody that was going through the same exact thing that I was at the same exact moment in time,” Blake previously shared with Sunday Today. Gwen, formerly married to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale with whom she has 3 kids, had her divorce finalized in 2016. No doubt their overlapping divorces helped them find each other.
