The rumor that the costuming department set a curse on Brandon Armstrong is still running hard on Dancing With the Stars. The professional dancer, whos been on the series since 2018, has now been eliminated three times while wearing the color yellow.
Brandon Armstrong Was Wearing Yellow When Eliminated with Ciara Miller
On Tuesday night, Dancing With the Stars fans saw pro Brandon Armstrong eliminated with partner Ciara Miller, while wearing a primarily red costume, that featured a hint of yellow. To a non-seasoned Dancing With the Stars fan, it may have seemed like a normal elimination, but to those who have been around the past three seasons, it fits Armstrong’s curse.
The curse began in Season 32 when Armstrong was paired with social media star Lele Pons. They soared through seven weeks of the competition, scored 34 out of 40 points during their final dance, and won their Team Freestyle dance. Yet, they were surprisingly eliminated, and the yellow curse was born (since Armstrong was dressed in a yellow jacket).
The second recipient of the yellow curse was Armstrong’s partner Lauren Jauregui, who was eliminated during week three of the competition. Though they didn’t have the highest scores, they were able to earn 6 and 7s across the board in the ballroom. Unfortunately, they were dressed in yellow, and their time on the dance floor was over. Now, he has been eliminated while wearing yellow for the third time with partner Ciara Miller.
Brandon Armstrong’s wife, Brylee, shared a video acknowledging the curse on Tuesday night. The video’s on screen caption reads: “Me when I found out Brandon is wearing yellow tonight on DWTS: #iykyk”
Fans are now commenting on the video, saying that Armstrong isn’t allowed to wear yellow again on the series, since he’s had such a string of bad luck. Armstrong and his 2026 partner Ciara had a steady improvement since premiering on the season four weeks ago. They went from getting 5s across the board to getting 7s across the board in their final week of the competition.
