‘DWTS’ Couples Face ‘Banged Heads’ During Season 35 Rehearsals

The couples on Dancing with the Stars Season 35 have been hard at work rehearsing for the two-night premiere this week. It hasn’t been smooth sailing for everyone, as at least two couples have apparently “banged heads” while practicing their routines.

DWTS Couples Bang Heads During Rehearsals

“Me and Mark [Ballas] banged heads today,” DWTS contestant Maura Higgings told SiriusXM’s Smith Sisters Live in a recent interview, adding of her professional partner and former Traitors co-star, “To be honest, it was Mark’s fault.”

Pro dancer Sharna Burgess, who also appeared on the podcast, said the same thing had recently happened to her and her celebrity partner, former Bachelorette star Tyer Cameron, sharing, “We banged heads today as well. Yeah, smacked each other straight in the head. You’re not alone.”

Burgess went on to say that Cameron “also dropped me,” explaining, “Oh, that was a good one, trying a new trick.” That prompted Higgins to share, “Mark dropped me too. He did.”

When Ballas asked Higgins to give him an example of him dropping her, she told him, “You always drop me. I swear he’s doing it on purpose.”

Ciara Miller Knows How to Handle Injuries

Summer House star Ciara Miller, who is competing with pro Brandon Armstrong this year, told Smith Sisters Live that she’s “never been so sore in my life,” but her experience as an ICU nurse has come in handy.

“The only advantage is, luckily, I know how to wrap wounds and bandage my feet,” Miller shared. “So I have my bag stacked with all the essentials of keeping my feet intact.”

Fellow DWTS Season 35 contestant Giada De Laurentiis also recently faced an injury during rehearsals, as she showed her Instagram followers a bruise on one of her toes. The celebrity chef explained, “As you can see, it’s quite purple, and it wraps all the way around. I’m for sure gonna lose my toenail, I think.”
