Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro is premiering next month on ABC. The show will feature 12 dancers competing to become a new pro on DWTS Season 35. One TikTok user has a theory that social media influencers might be featured on the new series.
Will DWTS: The Next Pro Feature Influencers?
TikTok user ShelbyT recently posted a video speculating that the contestants on The Next Pro will be paired up with popular social media influencers to show off their teaching skills. She based this theory on the fact that a few influencers recently hinted at projects that took them out of the country.
The Next Pro was filmed in Australia, and the influencers in question apparently “went quiet on their page for a few days,” which could have been when the show was being filmed. Shelby didn’t name names, but she gave a few clues about which influencers she could be talking about.
That includes a pair of twins, whom commenters believe could be popular YouTubers Brooklyn and Bailey. They have apparently mentioned wanting to be on DWTS for years and have even made TikTok videos with some of the show’s cast members.

What Do Fans Think of This Rumor?
A fan on the DWTS subreddit shared this TikTok video earlier this week, sharing that they “absolutely agree” with the theory that influencers will be involved in The Next Pro. They added that it might be a good way to get the dancers “adjusted to the amount of social media content they’re going to have to put out there if they make the cut.”
A commenter suggested that former Mirrorball champion and TikTok star Charli D’Amelio might be involved in the show somehow, as she was apparently in Australia around the time the show was being filmed. They added their hope that employees at Australia Zoo, where The Next Pro host Robert Irwin works, might be paired up with the contestants.
Another fan suggested that, rather than pairing the dancers up with influencers from the start, this might be something that happens further into the series, explaining, “My thought is that they need to ease the competing dancers into what it is to be a pro and throwing them in to teaching right away sounds counterproductive.”
DWTS: The Next Pro will premiere on ABC on July 13.
