Former Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval is reportedly ready to focus on his music career and leave reality television behind. The star and his cover band recently auditioned for America’s Got Talent, and they were just announced as one of the 44 acts going to the Season 20 live shows.
AGT Contestant Tom Sandoval Wants to Quit Reality TV
Sandoval rose to fame as part of the cast of Bravo’s reality series Vanderpump Rules. In 2023, he was at the center of a controversy known as “Scandoval” after it was revealed that he cheated on his girlfriend Ariana Madix with their co-star Rachel Leviss.
Vanderpump Rules now has a spin-off show called The Valley, but Sandoval reportedly “has very little interest” in joining the new series. A source recently told The U.S. Sun that the star is “focusing on his music career” and “less interested in reality TV right now.”
The star is currently competing on AGT Season 20 with his band The Most Extras. Their audition, in which they covered “Take On Me” by A-ha, impressed the judges. It was recently announced that the band will be competing in the Season 20 live shows.

Sandoval Wants to Take His Band on Tour
The Most Extras was formed in 2021, co-founded by Sandoval and his friend Jason Bader, who plays drums and serves as the band’s manager. The band has toured the United States in years past, and Sandoval reportedly wants to head back out on the road after AGT.
“He wants to launch another tour after his AGT run is over and capitalize on that success,” the source told The U.S. Sun. “He is overwhelmed, in the best way, with the response to his AGT audition and feels seen for the first time as a musician.”
The AGT Season 20 live shows are set to kick off on August 19. Will you be voting for Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras to move on in the competition? Let us know in the comments below.
