‘The Voice’ Announces Season 28 Premiere Date as Coaches Tease Production

Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Voice will be back for Season 28 this fall, and the show just announced an official premiere date of September 22, 2025. This season’s returning coaches even teased the show’s current production in a fun new video.
The Voice Announces Season 28 Premiere Date
On Monday, The Voice took to social media to inform fans that Season 28 of the show will premiere on Monday, September 22, at 8/7c on NBC. As usual, the new season will kick off with the Blind Auditions, as the coaches build their teams.
This season, the coaching lineup will feature Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Michael Bublé. Three out of the four coaches have had the winning artist in previous seasons. Could Snoop Dogg earn his first win this time around? We’ll have to wait and see.
“The Voice is in production right now,” Horan says in a video posted by the show to accompany the date announcement. Based on the clip, the coaches are excited to be back and seem to be getting along well. Bublé even shows off a pair of socks he’s wearing that feature McEntire’s face.
Meanwhile, McEntire jokes that she gets to tell her fellow coaches “what to do, like a big sister.” Horan shares of his return to the show, “I can’t believe I get to do this again.”

The Show Also Shared the Season 29 Coaches
Last week, The Voice announced that Season 29 of the show, premiering in the spring, will look a little bit different from usual. The season will be subtitled Battle of the Champions and feature three coaches instead of the typical four.
Veteran coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend will appear on the new season, as they compete to see who will have the most three-chair turns on their team. This will give them the advantage of a Super Steal in the Battles.
Season 29 will also feature the return of several past contestants, who will compete in sing-offs to guarantee their coach a second artist in the finale. These sing-offs will be judged by former coach CeeLo Green.
