Former America’s Got Talent judge Heidi Klum recently spoke to People magazine ahead of her return to Project Runway later this month. The 52-year-old shared that she’ll continue to “run around sexy” as she gets older.
Heidi Klum Will Still ‘Run Around Sexy’ as She Ages
Heidi Klum made a name for herself as a supermodel, sporting lingerie for Victoria’s Secret. In recent years, the star has continued to show off her figure on social media, frequently posting photos of herself in skimpy bikinis. Klum doesn’t intent to stop being sexy just because she’s getting older.
“I’ve always been very open with my body,” Klum told People. “When I’m suntanning in the backyard, I might not have a top on. I’m European …my kids don’t know me any other way and are probably more easygoing with their bodies because of it.”
Klum emphasized that she’s “been photographing nude or in lingerie since 1992, way before Instagram,” adding, “For me to be older, it doesn’t matter. I don’t have this age-shaming or body-shaming thing. I feel like everyone should do what they want to do. I like to run around sexy — even now at 52.”
She shared her belief that women are “not off the shelf” as they get older. She encouraged women, “Don’t hide in your 50s. Beauty is ever-changing, and I’m here for the change. If it’s always the same, life is boring.”

Klum Hasn’t Gone Gray Yet
Heidi Klum told People that she feels society has become “more welcoming of wrinkles and rolls on our body,” adding, “Being accepted at every age is amazing. That we’ve changed and come all that way.”
The star went on to share that she has yet to experience gray hairs on her head, explaining, “I have one in my eyebrow. It’s so weird. And I have one on this boob that is this long sometimes.”
Klum’s approach to aging is that it should be celebrated, saying, “Don’t we all want to get old? I know we always say that, but it’s the truth. I’m already looking at 60 and 70, hopefully 80 and 90. And if we’re still kicking it then, let’s celebrate.”
The new season of Project Runway is scheduled to premiere July 31 on Freeform. It will also be available to stream on Hulu and Disney+.
