‘The Masked Singer,’ ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Among Reality TV Award Winners

The American Reality Television Awards recently announced the winners for 2023, including The Masked Singer, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and LEGO Masters. This year marked the 10th annual edition of the awards.
The Masked Singer, Drag Race Among Reality TV Award Winners
At this year’s American Reality Television Awards, The Masked Singer took home the award for Outstanding Competition Show, while RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars won for Overall Show, Outstanding Host, and Outstanding Judging Panel.
Meanwhile, LEGO Masters won in the Outstanding Art Direction category. Other winners at this year’s event included Trixie Motel (starring Drag Race star Trixie Mattel) for Outstanding Docu-Series, and Hell’s Kitchen for Outstanding Food Series.
The award for Outstanding Competition show was accepted by The Masked Singer Season 10 contestant Gazelle, who said it “means so much to be recognized by you, our fans.” RuPaul accepted the awards for Drag Race, saying that “this award belongs to all of our beautiful, hard-working cast, crew, and queens.”

What Other Shows Were Nominated?
Several of our favorite talent shows were nominated at this year’s American Reality Television Awards, even if they didn’t end up winning. That includes The Voice, which was nominated for Overall Show and Outstanding Judging Panel.
Outstanding Judging Panel also included nods for America’s Got Talent and American Idol. AGT was also nominated for Outstanding Host (Terry Crews). Meanwhile, Dancing with the Stars earned a nomination for Best Art Direction.
JoJo Siwa was up for the Reality Royalty Award for her role on the judging panel of So You Think You Can Dance. That award ended up going to Selena Gomez, who won for her MAX cooking show Selena + Chef.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars was also nominated for Outstanding Competition Show, while judge Ross Mathews was nominated for Reality Royalty. The show also received a nod for Outstanding Reality TV Moment, and the show’s podcast was nominated for Best Reality Podcast.
