Britain’s Got Talent has shared an early release video from this week’s new episode of Series 16, featuring a dance duo called Romeo & Icy. The pair made the judges smile with their fun routine and synchronized moves.
Dance Duo Auditions in BGT Early Release
Romeo and Icy are 20 and 21 years old, respectively. For their audition, they performed several energetic dance routines set to various songs, including “Down” by Jay Sean and “Classic” by MKTO. The audience was totally into their performance, cheering along as they danced.
The judges were also clearly delighted by the performance. Even Simon Cowell had a big grin on his face as he watched the duo dance. Backstage, hosts Ant and Dec danced along, with Dec remarking on the pair’s “quick feet.”
If you enjoy watching TikTok dance videos, Romeo and Icy might already be familiar to you. They both have accounts on the platform where they regularly post dance routines. Romeo currently has over 250,000 followers, while Icy has nearly 800,000.
So far, we’ve seen three Golden Buzzer acts this season on BGT. During the two-night premiere, both Bruno Tonioli and Simon Cowell hit the Golden Buzzer, for the dance group Ghetto Kids and the young singer Malakai Bayoh.
Then last week, Alesha Dixon hit it for an inspiring group of performers called Chickenshed. But there are still five Golden Buzzers left to see, if what Cowell has said about this season is true. Both Tonioli and Cowell will reportedly hit it a second time.
In a recent interview, Cowell said they ended up with eight Golden Buzzers during Series 16. We’ll find out who earned the fourth one when the show returns on Saturday night at 8 p.m. on ITV1 and STV.
