American Idol Season 21 kicks off Hollywood Week this Sunday night, and the show has already shared an early release performance ahead of the new episode. It features singer Nutsa delivering a powerhouse rendition of Celine Dion’s song “I Surrender.”
Nutsa Sings Celine Dion for American Idol Hollywood Week
During her audition earlier this season, Nutsa shared that she was born in the country of Georgia but has recently been living in Dubai. After her performance, judge Luke Bryan described her as “the J.Lo of Georgia.”
Nutsa earned a Golden Ticket to Hollywood from the panel, and now she’s fighting to stay in the competition during Sunday’s new episode. In the early release clip, the singer performs “I Surrender” by Celine Dion, wowing both the judges and her fellow contestants.
Not only did Nutsa show off a powerful vocal performance, but she also displayed a great stage presence, even interacting with the camera at one point. It was enough to bring all three judges to their feet before Nutsa was even done singing.

The Judges Were Wowed by the Performance
“I have chills everywhere,” Luke Bryan said after Nutsa’s incredible performance.
Meanwhile, fellow judge Katy Perry waxed poetic about the level of talent they’ve been seeing this season, saying, “I feel like we have the best talent this year. We have crazy talent this year. This is the best season.”
Hollywood Week kicks off on Sunday night and continues into Monday night, as the show moves to two nights a week. The episodes will feature several celebrity mentors who previously competed on the show, including Jordin Sparks, Clay Aiken, and last season’s winner Noah Thompson.
This round of the show is notorious for its grueling schedule and high-stakes challenges, as the competition is narrowed down by the judges. It all starts this Sunday at 8/7c on ABC.
