‘American Idol’ Alum Lauren Alaina Introduces Secret Fiancé at the Grand Ole Opry

American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina is officially engaged to longtime secret beau Cameron Scott Arnold. She recently announced the big news onstage at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, November 19.
Lauren Alaina Reveals Engagement to Cam Arnold
During her performance, the country singer publicly revealed the life-changing decision to be Arnold’s bride-to-be. For those who may not know, Alaina was officially inducted as a Opry family member last February. Since she deemed this as a dream-come-true, she thought that the Opry was the perfect place to address the ring on her finger.
“I was welcomed into this family and it was a dream of mine as long as I can remember,” she said. “I didn’t think this year could get any better, [but Friday] I got asked into another family!”
She then proceeded to ask Arnold to come up onstage, and there she introduced him as her “future husband.” The special moment ended with the two kissing each other in front of the crowd.
Following the announcement, Alaina posted a series of photos on Instagram about the happy occasion. Meanwhile, Grand Ole Opry‘s Instagram congratulated Alaina and Arnold for the beautiful news, wishing them “a lifetime of happiness and love.”
She Says Her Fiancé Like to be “In the Shadows”
While Alaina has been used to the cameras, Arnold prefers to stay out of the limelight. However, after a couple of negotiations with the American Idol alum, her fiancé agreed to take the stage with her.
“This is the first time I’m showing Cameron to the world,” Alaina told People. “He has and will continue to be a sacred piece of my life. He keeps me grounded and gives me a piece of a normal everyday life that I didn’t have before him.”
The two have been together for two and a half years and have enjoyed their low-key romance since then. Earlier this month, Alaina opened about wanting to be married after attending the wedding of fellow country music icon HARDY. Turns out, her engagement ring was just around the corner
“I can’t wait to be Mrs. Cameron Scott Arnold. I’m so excited for everyone to know who he and we are. The best is still to come,” she said.
As she prepares for her wedding, Alaina is also working on a new album. This is going to be her first project with Big Loud Records after departing from Mercury/Universal Music Group Nashville.
