Former ‘AGT’ Kid Singer Kaitlyn Maher Shares Original Love Song Snippet

Following on the news that America’s Got Talent alum Kaitlyn Maher is recording new music, the singer posted a new original song she wrote on Instagram. Known as the youngest singer in AGT history, her singing continued to age well along with her.
On October 13, Maher shared an Instagram story featuring a song she is currently writing. The black and white post features Maher playing chords on the piano. Once the chords play for a few moments, she begins singing the verses written on the screen.
“When you said I deserve better, I shoulda run/when you said you weren’t sure, I should’ve known you’re not the one/when you laughed at how hard I tried, I should’ve never looked behind/but instead I kept on living in your lie,” she sings.
This instagram story was not the first time fans of the former America’s Got Talent kid singer has heard original music. Earlier this month, Maher shared an original love song with a fun theme.
Kaitlyn Maher Has New Music on The Rise
In another recent Instagram video, the singer shows fans her newest untitled love song about not wanting someone back. The song’s lyrics also include playing with llamas which the fans poke fun at, and Maher admitted was silly.
Maher is now 18 years old and still doing what she does best, music. Although the singer is in college, it appears she still has time for her musical passion.
On her Instagram, she documents the moments she has in college and occasionally posts covers and original songs. After becoming the youngest finalist on AGT, Maher has been in various Disney movies and TV shows.
She expressed what it’s like growing up and going to college in another Instagram post of a song she wrote. Maher was feeling sentimental when she wrote the song and missed what it’s like living back in her home. Comments from her Instagram fans all praised Maher and wanted her to put out more music which is part of the reason she’s been seen in a recording studio.
Fans are anxiously awaiting her second release following America’s Got Talent. Her first release, an album named You Were Meant To Be, was released in 2009. Since it’s been quite some time since Maher’s Got Talent run, fans are excited to see the maturity in her voice, years after the competition.
