Could former The Voice Mega Mentor Taylor Swift be next year’s Super Bowl halftime performer? Some people think a new announcement about the show’s sponsor could be a hint that the singer will be the next big star to take the stage.
Taylor Swift Rumored as Super Bowl Halftime Performer
The halftime show was previously sponsored by Pepsi, but the brand pulled out of its partnership earlier this year. On Thursday night, Apple Music was announced as the new sponsor. TMZ reports that the timing of this announcement has fans thinking of Swift.
The announcement was made at midnight, which is a significant time of day for Swift. She’s releasing a new album called Midnights next month, has mentioned “midnight” in the lyrics to several of her songs, and has released past projects at midnight.
Some people also believe that Swift hasn’t performed at the Super Bowl in the past because of a sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola. But now that Coke’s competitor Pepsi is no longer sponsoring the event, that could open up the possibility of Swift taking the stage.

When Is the 2023 Super Bowl?
Super Bowl LVII will take place on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The game will be shown on FOX. A halftime performer has yet to be announced for the event, and TMZ reports that the NFL has neither confirmed nor denied the Swift rumors.
Last year’s halftime show was headlined by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak also made appearances. Other recent halftime shows have featured The Weeknd, as well as Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.
Taylor Swift’s upcoming new album Midnights is set to be released on October 21. If she really is next year’s halftime performer, maybe we’ll get more news closer to that date. It certainly feels like it’s about time she took that stage.
