Sophia James Covers Broadway Song ‘Being Alive’
Sophia appears alongside fellow singers Christine Noel and Astyn Turr in the new video, directed by Michael Korte, whose YouTube channel features a number of other Broadway tributes. The music production and vocal arrangement on this cover of “Being Alive” are by Christine Noel.
The three singers combine their strong voices for a beautiful performance of the song against a minimalist backdrop. The musical Company is currently running on Broadway and recently won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical Revival. The show’s composer, Stephen Sondheim, passed away last year.
Sophia recently posted about the new video on Instagram, writing that it was “the coolest experience ever.” She added, “I’m shook to the core by the talent these people possess – they were all an absolute joy to work with. I’m so honored to have been a part of this.”
