Fan favorite American Idol couple Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner celebrated Mother’s Day by announcing that they’re pregnant with their second child. Their announcement left some fans surprised and others saying “I told you so!”
Gabby Barrett, Cade Foehner Announce That They’re Expecting on Mother’s Day
On Mother’s Day, the country star revealed that she is expecting her second child with her husband. She took shared this announcement on social media alongside an ultrasound video.
“My son. Another LIFE we get to love and cherish. Happy Mothers Day!” Barrett wrote on Instagram.
Her husband, fellow American Idol alum, Foehner later shared the same ultrasound video with a similar caption. Within Foehner’s caption he wished his wife a happy Mother’s Day and once again revealed that she is carrying their second child.
American Idol fans have since flooded both comment sections with their support for the couple, even though they’ve been parents for over a year. In 2021, they welcomed their first child, Baylah May into the world.
Since becoming a parent, fans have praised Barrett for having a strong grasp on her role as a mother as well as her country music career. Barrett quickly found her place in the country music genre soon after American Idol and has maintained her position ever since.
Fans Questioned if Barrett Was Hiding a Baby Bump On American Idol
This country star has been no stranger to the spotlight in the past few months. She’s appeared on American Idol, hosted the American Country Music Awards (ACM Awards), and more. Since she’s been prominent in the pubic, fans realized that they may have detected her pregnancy during her American Idol appearance.
“I had a feeling when I saw you in that very oversized coat on idol I said I wonder if they are having another adorable little she’s hiding under there?! Congrats you 2!!!” a fan wrote in response to Barrett’s Instagram announcement.
Barrett appeared on the competition series in April as a mentor to the Top 14 contestants. Within the series she was spotted in what looked like an oversized suit coat and matching black pants. Fans were alarmed when they saw her in this outfit because it seemed like she had something to hide. Since Barrett changed up her signature look this year, it wouldn’t have been a surprise if she was trying out a new style, but such was not the case.
