Gabby Barrett Releases Song ‘Pick Me Up’ from Deluxe ‘Goldmine’ Album

American Idol alum Gabby Barrett recently announced that she’s releasing a deluxe version of her debut album Goldmine, and she just put out the first bonus track from the project. The song is titled “Pick Me Up,” and it also features a new lyric video.
Gabby Barrett Releases New Song ‘Pick Me Up’
Barrett’s new song “Pick Me Up” is all about having a bad day and looking to someone special to help her turn it around. “Get me outta my head and outta this town,” she sings. “And tell me no matter what / You’ll be by my side / Everything gonna be all right.”
The title has a clever double meaning, as it refers to the subject of the song literally picking the singer up in their truck, and also picking her up in terms of mood. The track has the contemporary country sound we’ve come to expect from Barrett, with a little electric guitar toward the end.
“Pick Me Up” has a fitting lyric video, featuring shots of a truck driving down country roads. The singer’s fans shared how much they love the new release, with one YouTube commenter writing that they “literally have this on repeat. It’s still playing since it’s been released.”

Barrett Is Releasing a Deluxe Version of her ‘Goldmine’ Album
Last year, Gabby Barrett released her debut album Goldmine. The 21-year-old recently announced that she’s putting out a deluxe version of the album this month, featuring four new bonus tracks, including “Pick Me Up.”
Barrett shared the updated tracklist on Instagram. The deluxe release will include 17 songs in total, adding onto the original 13. Other bonus tracks include “Never Get It Back,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “The Good Ones (Wedding Version).”
The new album will be available November 19, but you can pre-save and pre-order it now. We’re especially interested to hear the “wedding version” of Barrett’s song “The Good Ones.” Barrett married fellow American Idol Season 16 finalist Cade Foehner in 2019.
