Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Voice coach Kelly Clarkson released a Christmas album earlier this year, and she just announced a new holiday special to go along with it, complete with several famous guests.
The show, titled Kelly Clarkson Presents: When Christmas Comes Around, will air on NBC December 1. Clarkson announced the project on her Instagram account, saying she “can’t wait.”
Kelly Clarkson Announces Upcoming Christmas Special
According to a press release, the special will feature original songs from Clarkson’s album When Christmas Comes Around…, as well as some holiday classics, featuring My Band Y’All, the house band for Clarkson’s talk show.
Clarkson’s fellow coach Ariana Grande will make an appearance for the song “Santa, Can’t You Hear Me,” as well as Brett Eldredge for “Under the Mistletoe.” Other celebrity guests include Jay Leno, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Odom Jr., and Amy Poehler. And let’s not forget Santa Claus himself.
In keeping with the generous nature of Clarkson’s talk show, the Christmas special will also apparently feature “life-changing surprises” for some “everyday heroes.” As Clarkson said in a statement, “No matter what your heart is feeling this holiday season, I hope that this hour brings you joy and happiness exactly where you are.”

You Can Listen to Clarkson’s Christmas Album Right Now
If you’re already getting in the holiday spirit, make sure you add Kelly Clarkson’s new Christmas album to your rotation. The release features originals like “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You)” and “Merry Christmas (to the One I Used to Know).”
Clarkson also sings classics like “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Santa Baby,” and “Last Christmas.” And don’t be fooled by the bonus track “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” It’s not the Mariah Carey song, but rather a cover of the 1989 track by Vince Vance & the Valiants.
And don’t forget to tune in to Clarkson’s holiday special on Wednesday, December 1, at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
