Did you know Dancing with the Stars fan favorite Iman Shumpert has a family based reality series? If you’ve loved him on the dancing series, you’ll love learning about his life in We Got Love Teyana and Iman. In this series, Iman stars alongside his wife Teyana Taylor and their kids, Iman Tayla (Junie) and Rue Rose Shumpert.
This series is an unfiltered look at Iman and Teyana’s lives in Atlanta, GA. It touches upon their busy lives, close knit family, and everything in between. This show is a very easy watch since it’s not trying to be anything other than authentic. Iman and Teyana are truly themselves within this series, which is a breath of fresh air.
An Unfiltered Look at Iman and Teyana’s Balance Between Family, Careers
Although a lot of episodes are about Junie and Rue, they’re not the focus of the series. Instead, we see more of the balance Iman and Teyana have when it comes to their careers and family. For example, one episode was about Iman and Teyana searching for a school for Junie. In that episode you see a lot of their child, but you still see a lot of their personal lives.
A big part of this series is about Iman and Teyana’s careers and hobbies. There’s an episode where fans get to see Iman in the recording studio first-hand. Many people may know this DWTS celebrity from his NBA career, but this series shows that he’s more than that.
Some diehard Iman fans already know that he has released music in the past. But this episode shared that he is currently taking his music career to the next level. He’s currently working on a diverse 17-19 track rap authentic album, which he hopes to release next summer.
In the same vein, Teyana talks about her retirement from music within the series. She reveals that music isn’t the issue, she’s struggling with her label Def Jam instead. It seems like she would much rather release music independently like her husband.
This series is seriously a hidden gem and It’s totally bingeable. The first season ended on September 15 and fans are anxiously awaiting to hear if they will be renewed for another season. We Got Love Teyana and Iman is basically an extension of their 2018 VH1 series Teyana and Iman, which was cancelled.
