Simon Cowell Will Judge ‘X-Factor’ in Israel Following Major Surgery

X-factor Israel is returning for its fourth season since it last aired in 2018 and will feature Simon Cowell as the head judge. This is the first time that Simon will ever judge a show outside of the US and the UK. Many people are excited to see what exactly Simon will bring to the show and the type of talent they will discover!
Simon Cowell Will be the Head Judge of ‘X Factor’ Israel
X Factor in Israel first came out in 2013. The show featured a panel of judges such as Rami Fortes, Moshe Peretz, Shiri Maimon and Ivri Lider. The last time the show left off in season 3 which last aired in January 2018 crowned Edene Alene as their winner. This time the show is back to crown a new winner with a new panel of judges and you guessed it, Simon Cowell will be the head judge.
In the past, Simon has been the head judge of X factor UK where he served as a head judge for seven years. Afterward, he left the show to launch the US version which is now produced in over 50 territories. “Over the years we have discovered incredible talents from around the world through the ‘X Factor’ format, I can barely wait to see what the Israelis have to offer.” He Says.

He won’t be the only new judge coming on to the show. The network said that Cowell will be assisting in selecting the judges who will work alongside him on the competitionshow. Even though we are currently in a pandemic, the network said filming is expected to begin within a few months.
“Cowell is one of the biggest and most influential music figures in the world,” said the Network Reshet 13, “and his participation as a judge in the Israeli format provides an opportunity for international exposure for Israeli singers.”

This is the first time Simon will be returning to work following a back surgery this past year. The music producer had suffered a back injury after a bike incident in his home in California. Because of the injury he was also replaced as a host on Americas Got Talent.
This isn’t stopping him though. Aside from X Factor Israel, he is also working on another show called 50 States to Stardom.
