The great thing about Got Talent shows is that there’s no age limit, so contestants who are 90 years old (and even older) can show off their talents and prove age is just a number. These are some of our favorite examples of nonagenerians doing their thing.

Our Favorite 90-Year-Old ‘Got Talent’ Contestants

1. Mighty Atom Jr.

This strongman (whose real name was Mike Greenstein) was 93 when he auditioned for Season 9 of America’s Got Talent in 2014. He shared that he performed during World War II pulling vehicles with his teeth. That’s what he did in his audition, earning three “yes” votes from the judges. Mike was eliminated in Judgment Week and later passed away in 2016.

2. Hunter and Lillian

This motorcycle duo consisted of 24-year-old Hunter and his 90-year-old grandma Lillian, who came out of retirement to join him on AGT: Extreme. Before their audition, Lillian got a hug from judge Simon Cowell. The duo went on to ride a motorcycle through several flaming fences. The judges gave them three “yes” votes, but they didn’t earn the Superfan vote and were eliminated.

3. Dorothy Williams

This 90-year-old burlesque dancer auditioned for America’s Got Talent Season 11 in 2016. She said she wanted “to prove that you’re never too old to follow your dreams.” Dorothy performed a striptease, shocking the judges. Host Nick Cannon hit the Golden Buzzer for Dorothy, sending her to the Quarterfinals, where she was eliminated.

4. Audrey Leybourne

This singer was 90 when she auditioned for Series 12 of Britain’s Got Talent in 2018. Before her performance, she said she’d been in love with 22 men. Audrey was joined by a pianist named Mitch as she sang “I Wanna Be Loved by You.” The judges gave her a standing ovation and sent her forward, although she didn’t make it to the Semifinals.

4. Nora Barton

This singer was 96 when she auditioned for BGT Series 14 in 2020, becoming the oldest act to ever appear on the show. Nora performed “The Loveliest Night of the Year” while her daughter Pam played piano. The judges gave her a standing ovation and voted to send her forward, but she didn’t make it to the Semifinals. Nora passed away in 2021.

6. Tao Porchon-Lynch and Vard

In 2015, this ballroom dance duo auditioned for America’s Got Talent. Tao was 96 years old at the time of her audition, and her partner and dance instructor Vard was 26. They performed an energetic routine to Pitbull’s “Fireball,” with Vard lifting Tao into the air. The judges voted to send them forward, but they left the competition before the Judge Cuts. Tao passed away in 2020, at age 101.
