10 ‘AGT’ Performances That Live Rent Free in My Mind
Reading Time: 3 minutes
No matter how long you’ve been watching America’s Got Talent, you’ll always have a list of favorite acts that you could go back to at any given moment. These acts fill up your search history and are repeated in your brain so many times that you practically memorized the entire act, but you still love them. Here’s 10 AGT performances I can’t help but rewatch.
America’s Got Talent Performances That Live Rent Free in My Mind
The Clairvoyants
To this day, one of the most shocking performances ever on the series is The Clairvoyants’ 2016 audition. I still don’t know how they managed to know Heidi Klum‘s lipstick shade.
Lea Kyle
Up next is an act that struck me as extremely unique the first time I saw it. Lea Kyle’s performance mixes magic and fashion, very clearly her two passions.
Susan Boyle AGT: The Champions
It was a huge moment when Susan Boyle joined America’s Got Talent for the spin off AGT: The Champions; it was an even bigger moment when she sang “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables in the finale.
Aidan McCann and Mat Franco AGT All Stars Finale
AGT producers really knew what they were doing placing Aidan McCann and Mat Franco together for a finale performance in AGT: All Stars. The magicians complimented each other very very well, and gave an overall adorable performance.
The Flying Royals
Differing from others on this list, The Flying Royals live rent free in my mind because they didn’t get enough airtime. This group, seen on spin off AGT: Extreme was only able to perform once, yet I was amazed. To this day I still wonder what their second performance would’ve looked like.
Kodi Lee
This moment is one of the biggest “if you know you know” moments of the entire list. This audition is the pinnacle of what AGT is about and what the Golden Buzzer is truly meant for. I will never not be in awe of Kodi Lee.
Brett Loudermilk
To this day, I think Brett Loudermilk’s 2020 audition may be one of the funniest acts I’ve ever seen. His use of Sofia Vergara in this audition really stuck him above anyone else that season. His banter with Vergara complimented this act so well.
Darci Lynne
It’s no secret that Darci Lynne is one of the biggest winners of America’s Got Talent in modern day. I love looking back at where she came from, then looking at a more recent video of where she is today.
Piff The Magic Dragon
Unfortunately the day of the Judge Cut guest Golden Buzzer is gone, but my love for the format is not. Everything about Piff The Magic Dragon’s Golden Buzzer is absolute perfection, including Neill Patrick Harris taking a bite of his sandwich afterwards.
Peter Antoniou
This 2021 audition is the only one on the list that hasn’t aged well. Regardless of Vergara’s current marital status, it’s very impressive that Peter Antoniou was able to recall a secret from her engagement.
Honorable Mention:
Taylor Williamson Las Vegas Round
It’s no secret that i’m the absolute Taylor Williamson lover, so it should surprise no one that I had to mention one of his performances before this was is over. In this case, his Judgement Week performance reigns as one of my favorites. Taylor had some very funny performances, but this one is another level. There’s no way this would air in 2024.
