Watch ‘The Voice’ Star Jej Vinson’s Dream Duet With Filipina Singer Morissette

Jej Vinson may not have won The Voice, but has clearly made a name for himself on Season 16. Another dream came true for him over the weekend, as he got to perform with Filipina star Morissette Amon. They performed “The Prayer” together in San Jose, California.
Their performance was part of an event called ASAP Natin`To Bay Area, featuring performers from the Philippines. Jej, who grew up in the Philippines, got the chance to perform with Morissette during the show. He said on Instagram that he’s “always wanted to sing” with her.
Who Is Morissette Amon?
Morissette Amon, known by her stage name Morissette, is a 23-year-old Filipina singer. She and Jej have The Voice in common. Morissette competed on The Voice of the Philippines in 2013. In 2014, she joined ABS-CBN’s Sunday afternoon show ASAP.
Her strong voice blended well with Jej’s as they performed “The Prayer,” famously recorded by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. Impressively, they even sang in Italian.
Jej Vinson’s Relationship With Kelly Clarkson
It’s not the first time Jej has had the opportunity to sing with one of his idols. In May, he joined his Voice coach Kelly Clarkson on stage at The Venetian in Las Vegas for a charity concert. They performed a duet of Mariah Carey’s song “Whenever You Call.”
Jej wrote on Instagram afterward that it was a dream come true, calling Kelly “one of my favorite artists ever” and saying it was “truly an honor sharing the stage with you.” Check out their powerhouse performance below.
