‘AGT’ Still Won The Week In The Ratings With A Rerun
Reading Time: 1 minutes
So, it’s the week of the Fourth of July which means that most Americans are busy eating hot dogs and blowing stuff up and don’t watch a lot of TV. That’s why there is no new AGT or The Four for us to recap this week. On Tuesday America’s Got Talent broadcast a rerun of the premiere episode and it still got some of the highest ratings of the week on any of the networks.
AGT managed to garner 11.3 million viewers on Tuesday night which is about a 2.0 share. That was much much more than the second highest rated show, (by 4 million viewers), which was 60 Minutes. This is truly extraordinary and goes to show the unstoppable popularity of America’s Got Talent. People would rather watch a repeat of an episode they’ve already seen than watch something new. That premiere was a fantastic episode too.
The AGT train shows no signs of slowing down. Next week is the last week of auditions and will contain Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer. Then the live shows start and that usually means an even bigger audience will start tuning in. AGT is poised to be the highest rated show of the summer.
