America’s Got Talent is airing a new episode of Season 21 on Tuesday night, but it unfortunately won’t feature any new auditions. Due to the July Fourth holiday, the show will be airing a special themed to Independence Day.
America’s Got Talent Not Airing Auditions This Week
On Tuesday night, during America’s Got Talent‘s usual time slot at 8/7c, NBC will be airing a special titled “AGT: July 4th Party in the USA.” The show shared a preview for this episode on social media, teasing what fans can expect.
In the clip, the show’s judges (Howie Mandel, Mel B, Sofia Vergara, and Simon Cowell) can be seen hanging out together on an outdoor sofa raising summery drinks, surrounded by decorations for the Fourth of July.
The post doesn’t give too many details about what the special will entail, but it does include several clips of past acts with a patriotic theme. In another shot, Cowell can be seen laughing on the sofa as he appears to react to one of these acts.
It’s safe to say that this special will be a retrospective of sorts, looking back at some of the judges’ favorite auditions that fit the theme of the holiday, which marks America’s 250th birthday.

How Many Episodes Have Aired So Far?
Season 21 of America’s Got Talent kicked off earlier this month on NBC, and the show has aired four episodes of auditions so far. In that time, eight talented acts have earned the Golden Buzzer from the judges and host Terry Crews.
The show will return on Tuesday, July 7, for the fifth episode of auditions for this season. As the judges are allowed to press the Golden Buzzer more than once, and there can be multiple per episode, you never know what to expect.
