SPOILERS: Kelsea Ballerini’s ‘Songland’ Single is Already on Spotify!

As we already knew, Kelsea Ballerini is this week’s featured artist on Songland. But ahead of her appearance tonight, the winning single from the show is already available on Spotify! In previous weeks, it has gone up right at the end of the broadcast.
So why is it already available? And who won? MAJOR SONGLAND SPOILERS AHEAD!
Why is Kelsea’s Single Already Up?
Honestly, we don’t really understand why Kelsea Ballerini’s winning song is already available! The appeal of Songland is that the single goes up right when the show ends, allowing people to listen to it and download it for the first time then. That way, beforehand, the focus is on the songwriting process.
There are two explanations for why this could have happened though. One, they are trying to create a little buzz before the show goes live. As we’ve seen, Songland dropped in ratings from the first show to the second. Could this be an attempt to lure viewers in with the winning song? The second explanation is that it was simply a mistake. The song has been available since yesterday though! If it was a genuine mistake, don’t you think they would’ve taken it down earlier? Or was it too late so they just accepted it? It’s hard to say exactly what happened here.
So…Who Wins Tonight? [SPOILERS]
But if you MUST know before Songland airs tonight, we do have a winner! Kelsea Ballerini’s winning single is called “Better Luck Next Time.” It was written by Darius Coleman, who worked with Ryan Tedder. That means Ryan won his first episode tonight, after Shane McAnally took home the first win and Ester Dean crushed last week’s will.i.am single.
The other two artists who got to work with mentors were Daniel Feels and Jack Newsome. Daniel was paired with Ester to produce his song, “Crush,” while Jack worked with Shane on “Lying (Next to You).” Both of their songs are also available on Spotify already too!
