‘X Factor’ Winner Louisa Johnson Had The Judges Fighting Over Her But Where Is She Now?

In 2015, Louisa Johnson blew the judges away with her audition for The X Factor UK. She was so talented, the judges were fighting over who would get to mentor her during the competition.

At just 17 years old, Louisa went on to win the competition. Check out her journey on the show in the video below, and read on to find out what Louisa has been up to since her win.

Louisa Johnson Wins ‘The X Factor’ 2015

When Louisa stepped onto the stage to audition for The X Factor, she was visibly nervous. Judge Cheryl advised her to breathe and calm herself down before performing. She went on to sing “Who’s Lovin’ You” by the Jackson 5.

The judges were blown away by Louisa’s powerhouse voice, and they gave her a standing ovation. Louisa burst into tears over the positive reaction. “You are the one to beat right now,” Simon Cowell told her. “I really, really want to mentor you.”

Cheryl called Louisa a “superstar,” and Rita Ora called it a “stunning” performance. All four judges voted “yes” to sending her through to the next round. After Louisa left the stage, the judges argued over which of them would get to work with her.

Louisa was mentored by Rita. She made it through the entire competition, and ended up winning the show. She became the youngest winner ever, at just 17 years old. Check out her performances in the video above.

Where Is Louisa Now?

After winning X Factor, Louisa released a single called “Forever Young.” Louisa has released several singles and collaborations in the years since, although she has yet to put out an album.

Louisa left Syco and was later signed with Sony label Ministry of Sound, but earlier this year she announced that she was going independent. After a two-year break, Louisa released the song “Like I Love Me,” along with a music video.

“I’ve really enjoyed in the past year just working out who I am, focusing on the style of music I want to do, the artist I want to be, how I’m going to look – you have to think about everything,” Louisa told The Sun.

Louisa said she had “no idea what I was doing” when she won X Factor. “This is the start of me being true to myself and making music that really means something to me,” she said of her new journey. She’s been posting from the recording studio on Instagram.
