‘The X Factor UK’ Returns With New Judges And Singers
It’s time to journey across the pond again to jolly ‘ol England for everyone’s favorite British singing show: The X Factor UK. Producer Simon Cowell has totally revamped the show’s cast and is hoping to add a few surprises on how the game is played. In this first episode we get a sense of how the new season is going to go. It’s certainly more fun than it used to be.
Some say the glory days of the boy band are behind us but they have a way of coming back…much like herpes. Of course, the judge’s panel now has two boy band veterans in Louis Tomlinson and Robbie Williams and they weren’t feeling this boy band at all. They did not make it through.
Now this fool can sing. He did And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going and blew the socks off the judges. Plus his beard is on point. He made it through to the boot camp round.
These guys might seriously be contenders for the win. Not only can they sing but they can also dance like nobody’s business. They are just the type of act that can do well on The X Factor with the right mentorship.
Young Kezia is a fine singer and she did her rendition of You Are The Reason. While she’s got a decent voice, the judges all agreed that Kezia should join a girl group. Maybe they’ll put one together for her. They’ve done it before.
Now we’re talking. She’s only 16 but has a set of pipes on her that are angelic. She sang It’s a Man’s World and brought the judges to tears. This girl is another serious contender.
Sure, you can come out to a multimedia light show dressed like a steampunk circus ringmaster and that’s all well and good…but you also have to be able to sing.
Livia & The Elementals
Livia sings and the Elementals dance in the background. Louis called them Cirque de No-Way. Rough.
Janice, at 50, is one of the older contestants this year. She sang Dreamer, a song she did backing vocals for when it first came out in the 90’s. Now she’s back and she brought some killer pipes and easily made it through.
It’s a bold move to sing a song made famous by one of the judges in front of them. Andy did Angels by Robbie Williams and Robbie joined him in singing it and he got through.
Get ready for the triumph of the human spirit. Anthony came on last year and wowed the judges but he had to drop out for personal reasons. Now he’s back and this time he isn’t going anywhere.
