Yesterday, tragedy struck when news broke that Demi Lovato was being rushed to the hospital for an alleged heroin overdose. The singer and former judge on The X Factor has had a long struggle with substance abuse. Now in stable condition, Demi is beginning on her road to recovery. The X Factor community quickly responded with a wave of prayers and encouragement for her throughout it all. Their support clearly shows the impact she made on everyone there!
Fellow X Factor judge Paulina Rubio posted an old photo with Demi. Her caption translates to say, “All my love and lots of light to my dear Demi Lovato.”
Former host of The X Factor, Mario Lopez, tweeted his prayers for Demi too.
Praying for my girl @DDLovato. May God give her strength to truly recover…

Members of Demi’s team on The X Factor also posted their support for the singer. Paige Thomas, 8th place finisher from Season 2 of the show, shared that she and Demi have talked about their struggles in the past. Her touching post gives some insight into who Demi is and how much she cared for her team.
Saying prayers for my former mentor @ddlovato. Often I reflect back to a conversation we shared about my own struggles and you were beyond encouraging about the power of healing and to overcome. Switching the roles In spirit and standing behind you on this one tonight. Your healing is just around the corner babe.
Rion Paige and Ellona Santiago, who finished in 5th and 6th place respectively during Season 3, also sent words of encouragement to Demi. They were the last two contestants standing on Demi’s team that season. Ellona specifically went into detail about how friendly and accommodating Demi was to her sister. Her sister was fighting stage four breast cancer at the time.

I am just one of those very fortunate people who’s met @ddlovato and not only meet but she was my mentor. Every moment spent with her was memorable. One thing that stood out the most for me was when she personally took some time to sit and chat with my oldest sister Julierose. Her sincerity and concern for her was so heartfelt as my sister was then battling stage 4 breast cancer. I was in awe because she didn’t have to do that, but she did – no cameras, no hidden agenda, no script. She was kind and truly cared. In 2016 I lost my sister, fortunately we still have Demi today. I ask for everyone not to judge despite what is being reported. Every single one of us have our own battles & challenges we face. Sending love to Demi and her family in this difficult time. Praying for your speedy recovery and in finding inner peace ?? ❤️ ? xoxo Ellona #staystrongdemi
Some other memorable acts from The X Factor also tweeted their support. Camila Cabello, formerly of Fifth Harmony, and Carly Rose Sonenclar both sent their love. They were both finalists on Season 2 of the show.
you’re in my thoughts @ddlovato, sending you love ❤️

Though she’s not directly in The X Factor community, Makayla Phillips recently came into the spotlight for her AGT audition, singing “Warrior” by Demi Lovato. Her performance even earned her a Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum! Makayla tweeted out her thoughts and prayers to the singer, who is an inspiration for her.
