‘X Factor’ Contestant Brings Judges To Tears With Song About His Late Brother [VIDEO]

One of the most emotional moments on The X Factor UK came when 19-year-old Christian Burrows auditioned for the judges in 2016. The young singer performed a song dedicated to his late brother.
Christian wrote the song himself, and his honest performance brought to tears to the judges eyes. Watch his audition below, and read on to find out what the judges had to say about it.
Christian Burrows Auditions For ‘X Factor’
Christian said he was inspired by Ed Sheeran, and told the judges that he writes his own songs. Simon requested to hear one of them, so Christian said he would perform a song he wrote for his brother, who passed away when he was young. “Only my mum has ever heard it,” he said.
Christian played guitar while he performed. “Until we meet again, stay safe, my friend. And I will keep you in my thoughts to the very end,” he sang of his brother. Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger had tears in their eyes.

“You got me,” Nicole told him. Louis Walsh told Christian that it was “a very honest audition.” Sharon told him it was “a very beautiful song,” adding that he’s “very pure in what you do.” Simon said Christian was “brave” for sharing that song, and told him he has “a real talent.”
Christian earned four “yes” votes from the judges to move on. When he got the news, his friends and family ran into the audition room to give him a group hug. Christian said Simon’s comment meant “the world” to him.
What Is Christian Burrows Up To Now?
During boot camp, Christian delivered yet another emotional performance that impressed the judges. He sang “7 Years” by Lukas Graham, with Nicole Scherzinger praising his “passion.”

Unfortunately, Christian was eliminated from The X Factor during the judges’ house round. Since appearing on the show, he’s released several singles, including the recent “Crazy For Love” featuring Saskia.
