‘X Factor: Celebrity’ live shows continued last night and it was quite the watch! With two more eliminations decided by the returning sing-off and some abrupt on-air changes made by Cowell, this episode was tense!
First to leave the competition after finding himself in the bottom three was Martin Bashir. Martin has been a controversial figure ever since he joined the show, labeled by many as just for the ‘entertainment factor’. Despite this, the news broadcaster found himself going through twice, even though he’s been in the bottom three every time. Things won’t be the same around here without Martin but we’re glad he took the exit with pride!
The final two acts in the bottom three to face their fate were ‘V5’ and ‘No Love Lost’. They went head to head in the first sing-off of the competition. Both acts sang their hearts out, and burning passion to not only the stage but… the judging panel! Yes, that’s right, with a lot to give, both acts took their performance right in front of the judging desk. Good game plan guys but we don’t think Simon’s eyesight has gone just yet! After the vote went to the judges, ‘No Love Lost’ were eliminated.
Do you think the judges’ vote was fair? Let us know down below.
After Simon saw two of his acts in the bottom three this week and one of them going home, he created a new twist on air! Now, all contestants that have been voted off the show will have a second chance to come back and perform in the final. We can’t be the only ones questioning Simon’s rather unusual change? It turns out we aren’t… here’s what fans on Twitter had to say:
Wow… this wasn’t Walsh’s night, we can assure you. First to take a hit was Thom Evans from ‘Try Star’ after Louis called him a ‘backing singer’. The rugby star replied to Walsh’s brutal words claiming that Louis has been a backing singer to Simon all his life! Damn.
It wasn’t just Evans that had something to say about the ‘X Factor’ judge. Martin Bashir when talking about his time on the competition expressed gratitude to almost everybody and everything APART from Louis. He said: “I’m thankful to Simon and Nicole and a little less to Louis.”
‘X Factor: Celebrity’ continues next Saturday on ITV & AXS TV.
