Grace Vanderwaal has been very busy since winning the 11th season of America’s Got Talent. She’s went on tour with Imagine Dragons and Florence + The Machine, she’s appeared in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, and she’s even making her film debut in the upcoming Disney+ film Stargirl. However, she recently appeared on the Kelly Clarkson Show and had an AMAZING interview.
First, she cried when meeting fellow guest Josh Gad. She admitted that she wasn’t familiar with him by name, but recognized him from his appearances in New Girl. Kelly admitted that she often has the same problem and the two laughed about it.
Then Grace talked about how she was learning to cook, and brought out her brand new dish, lasagna soup. Kelly’s assistant brings out some samples for her and Josh, causing Grace to tell the two to not look. Kelly looked away, causing the audience to burst into hysterics.
After, she says she listens to her guests. Grace VanderWaal then explains that lasagna soup is pretty much just regular lasagna, but that it never turns out the right way for her. Kelly then calls Grace her favorite, and then they feast.
Despite several former winners from “AGT” competing on AGT: Champions, Grace Vanderwaal is one of the few who hasn’t competed on either one. To be fair, Grace is very busy, and may not have the time to take out of her schedule to compete. Or she just doesn’t want the pressure, similarly to why Kodi Lee isn’t appearing.
Regardless, while Grace isn’t competing, season five winner Michael Grimm will be competing along with forty-nine other amazing acts from around the world! And watch the video clip of Grace’s appearance on the Kelly Clarkson Show above!
