Alejandro Aranda (American Idol)
This aspiring musician made waves on American Idol this year after the show dubbed his audition the best ever. Alejandro’s amazing guitar skills, original songwriting, and unique voice captured viewers’ attention. Although he came in second place to Laine Hardy, he has since released his own music and has a big following on social media.
Dimash Kudaibergen (The World’s Best)
This young singer from Kazakhstan has been nicknamed the “Six-Octave Man” because of his incredible vocal range. He brought his amazing talent to The World’s Best earlier this year, earning 98 points out of 100 for his debut performance. However, Dimash chose to leave the competition, saying he didn’t want to compete against children.
Katie Kadan (The Voice)
This talented singer had the first audition of The Voice Season 17, and turned all four coaches’ chairs. She chose to join Team Legend, and made it all the way to the Top 4 with her powerful voice, unique style, and likable personality. Katie may have only come in third place, but we’re definitely going to remember her.
TNT Boys (The World’s Best)
This Filipino trio of talented young singers made their American debut on the first season of The World’s Best earlier this year. They’ve been a huge hit overseas, and we can see why. Their first performance on the show earned 99 points out of 100. However, they didn’t make it past the championship round. They went on tour after the show, with appearances from AGT star Angelica Hale.
Tyler Butler-Figueroa (AGT)
This 11-year-old violinist captured our hearts with his story of surviving cancer and overcoming bullying. Simon Cowell hit the Golden Buzzer for his audition. Tyler’s joyful stage presence and impressive covers of pop songs wowed both the AGT judges and viewers. He finished Season 14 in the Top 10. He’ll return for AGT: The Champions Season 2 in January.
V. Unbeatable (AGT)
For a while, we thought this dance group from the slums of Mumbai, India, might live up to their name and win the entire competition. Their acrobatic routines were jaw-dropping, and earned the Golden Buzzer from guest judge Dwyane Wade. Many fans were disappointed when they only finished the competition in fourth place. However, they’ll return for AGT: The Champions in January.
