His ex-girlfriend and friends confirmed the 31-year-olds death is a suspected suicide. Byron was an extremely popular gamer on Twitch that loved playing the game World of Warcraft. He was actually ranked one of the top players in the entire world. He has long dominated World of Warcraft tournaments, even placing rank one in six consecutive seasons of the game. And, he had close to a million loyal followers that loved tuning in to watch him play. His personality definitely set him apart from some of the other streamers on Twitch and garnered him over 42,000 Instagram followers. Right before his death, he was working on developing a game with Everland which was set to be released later this year. The game was something he was excited about and frequently referenced during his live streams.
He is known as the first original big Twitch streamer and influence to others who started their own accounts after being inspired by him. Byron’s brother Gary posted a touching tweet about his brother’s passing. He asked if anyone has stories or pictures of him to share them. “I’ve no siblings left,” he said.
Byron once revealed in a video that his younger brother died of suicide at just six years old and it had a huge impact on his mental health. But, he did say that he was feeling happier day by day and working on his new game gave him a “sense of purpose.”
