What Just Happened On The ‘World Of Dance’ Stage Last Night?

From the auditions to the qualifiers to the duels, these teams have battled it all on NBC’s World Of Dance Stage. The Junior Division Duels concluded on Tuesday night on World Of Dance. The judges Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, and Ne-yo gets to decide who is moving onto the semi-finals.

The Duels 4 was a battle between two final battles on the Junior Division Keagan Capps vs. Maddy Penny and James and Harris vs. Bailey and Kida. After that was the redemption round where guest judge Stephen “Twitch” Boss who choose two of the losing acts from the division to get a second chance
Hip-Hop Duo Bailey and Kida Vs Contemporary Friends James and Harris
The first duel of the night is between hip-hop duo Bailey Sok and Kida and contemporary friends James and Harris. While Bailey and Kida just started performing together and lacked chemistry friends James and Harris have been performing together for years now. Let’s find out what the judges’ verdict.
Bailey and Kida perform first, and the judges are in love with their isolations, and Jennifer Lopez got goosies!

James and Harris performed next on “Let Me Go” By NF They are originally contemporary dancers but mixed their routine with a bit of hip-hop. Lopez comments that “they’re “a match made in heaven.” Ne-Yo was impressed by their strength, but “you’re not dancing as strong as you are … I know that there’s more in you.” But Derek Hough thinks Ne-Yo was dead wrong.
It was time to decide who got into the semi-finals. Lopez votes for James and Harris for the hard work and artistry while Ne-yo and Derek votes for Bailey and Kida.
Contemporary Dancer Kaegan Capps Vs Classical Ballerina Maddey Penny
It’s not a surprise why the judges put the two female soloists against each other after all Keagan Capps and Maddy Penny both have “amazing technique,” says Hough.

Lopez thinks the act that is the most emotionally moving will be the one that advances to the Semi-Finals. While Kaegan won the hearts of the judges by her “emotional connection” to her piece while Maddy Penny lacked that.
The winner was obvious, Kaegan Capps moved on to the next round while Maddey’s fate was in the hands of Twitch.
The Final Redemption Round!
Twitch kept his word when he said “I’ve got my eye on y’all” to James and Harris after battle with Bailey and Kida. So there goes their redemption. Twitch picks them first from Young Cast, Maddy Penny and Chibi Unity for the redemption round. Young Cast is his second pick.

The two friends performed on Circles by Post Malone while Young Cast dances on “Super Bad, Super Slick” by James Brown. Lopez appreciates “a bag of tricks that we don’t know about” by the Young Cast.
All three judges votes for The Young Cast are moving on to semi-finals while James and Harris are eliminated. The judges tell James and Harris that they hope they return. They have lots of potential to grow and compete again.
