What Does Simon Cowell Think Of The ‘AGT’ Live Shows Without Him?
Simon Cowell has missed two weeks of live shows on America’s Got Talent while he recovers from back surgery. The music mogul fell off an electric bike earlier this month, breaking his back in several places.
Simon was replaced by guest judges Kelly Clarkson (last week) and Kenan Thompson (this week). What did Simon think of the show without him on the panel? He tweeted his thoughts.
Simon Cowell Tweets About ‘AGT’
Last week, Simon Cowell tweeted his response to the first AGT show without him this season. He thanked guest judge Kelly Clarkson and added, “Miss all of you. What a Great Show.”
A source told People that Simon watched the episode from the hospital. The show reportedly “sent him a giant X and a Golden Buzzer” to make him feel more at home. According to the source, “He was delighted Kelly had stepped in to help and very grateful to her.”
Meanwhile, many fans missed seeing Simon Cowell on their televisions. Some tweeted that the show wasn’t “the same” without him on the judges’ panel. Obviously Simon needs time to recover before he can get back to judging, but it sounds like he might return quite soon.
Fellow judge Howie Mandel recently told Today that he “wouldn’t count him out for the live shows yet.” He added, “As much as it’s devastating, it’s also good news that he is going to be fine and make a full recovery.”
Is Simon No Longer A Vegan After His Accident?
Simon’s absence from America’s Got Talent reportedly isn’t the only thing that’s changed since his accident. He’s also apparently abandoned his plant-based diet in favor of more meat and dairy.
The talent show judge adopted plant-based eating in recent years, and ended up losing a lot of weight. However, according to The Mirror, his partner Lauren Silverman has been making him turkey cottage pie and treating him to chocolate as he recovers from surgery.
“His diet is incredibly healthy but there’s nothing better than traditional English comfort foods and treats when you’re on the mend,” a source told the outlet. It’s not clear if Simon plans to continue eating non-vegan foods, or if he’ll return to a plant-based diet after he recovers.
