Archie Williams Will Sing A Beatles Song In The ‘AGT’ Finals
Louisiana newspaper The Advocate reports that Archie Williams will perform a Beatles song this week, once again dedicating it to his daughter Ayesha. During the semifinals, Archie sang Westlife’s “Flying Without Wings.”
“It feels wonderful. It’s the time of my life,” Archie told the paper of his success on the show, saying he’s “ready” for this week’s performance.

Archie Williams auditioned for the show with an emotional cover of “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” by Elton John. After his audition aired, Elton John himself tweeted that he was “moved to tears” by Archie’s story and performance.
He returned for the quarterfinals with a performance of Stevie Wonder’s “Love’s In Need of Love Today” that brought judge Heidi Klum to tears. Two weeks ago, in the semifinals, Archie was in the Dunkin’ Save but failed to earn America’s vote. The judges chose to send him through to the finals.
Archie Pays Tribute To His Daughter On ‘AGT’
Archie Williams also spoke with The Advocate about meeting his 41-year-old daughter after being released from prison. When he started his sentence, he didn’t know for sure whether she was his biological child.

“She is just so much like me. The personality, the characteristics, it’s all the same,” Archie said. “And we laugh at each other because we’re just so much the same. That’s what’s so amazing about it.”
Archie recently admitted on the show that during his first performance, his daughter was listening on the phone in his jacket pocket. He said he wanted to “make her proud” with his performance.
