Wendy Williams’ Fans OUTRAGED At Producers For ‘Allowing The World To See Her In This State’
On October 23 during an episode of The Wendy Williams Show, fans flooded social media to say that something was off with host Wendy Williams. She stared blankly at the camera numerous times and was jumbling her words. Though she cleared the air and maintained she is fine, her staff also spoke out calling for her to get help.
“Oh Wendy, I’ve been following you forever since Hot 97. I’m such a fan. You are definitely not well. Please wendy pick yourself up!!!! We watch because of you! Please get well!” one person commented on the YouTube video above. It is clear that fans are just looking out for Wendy and want what is best for her.
Wendy Williams Fans Are Very Concerned About Her Health
Wendy has very candidly opened up about her cocaine and alcohol addiction in the past. In 2019 she revealed that she was living in a sober living facility and has undergone addiction treatment as part of her recovery. Part of her mission is actually to get people to reach out for help and stresses the importance of how emotional and mental health is important during recovery.
But some fans feel like she should take her own advice after watching the odd behavior of the host on the show. “I must say that #WendyWilliams producers is so out of pocket for even airing today’s episode & allowing the world to see her in this state. It’s clear that they don’t have her back” said one viewer on Twitter.
“Is it just me or has @WendyWilliams fallen off the wagon this morning? Girl, how YOU doin’???????” asked another Twitter user.
“I immediately came to Twitter to see if anyone else was thinking the same as me is she high or on something cause she seems off it’s hard to watch #WendyWilliams” another fan said.
Other’s just simply feel like it is time to wrap the show up so Wendy can “get well.”
Wendy Was Very Brief Addressing Her On-Camera Behavior
In the next episode, Wendy addressed everyone’s concerns very briefly. “I guess every day is not perfect, but I’m not a perfectionist,” she said. “I’m not perfect.” TVLine asked her if she wanted to further explain and she said “no.”
“Me saying, ‘I’m not perfect,’ I’ve done that for almost all 30 years of my broadcast career, you know?” she added. She continued on to say that there are “people looking to pick and poke, and that was before social media. And all of a sudden, social media came up and people, they get together and they want to think what they think. All I am is Wendy. That’s it.”
Wendy was previously diagnosed with Grave’s Disease which has caused her to step away for some time in the past after causing her fatigue.
