WATCH Woman Giving Birth While Standing In Parking Lot Caught On Doorbell Camera
A doorbell camera caught the crazy moment that a woman literally gave birth as she was walking into Natural Birth Works in Margate, Florida. Susan Anderson never could have imagined delivering her daughter in such a fast and unexpected way. Watch the video below and you might just sit there in shock.
Susan Anderson Never Thought Her Daughter Would Have A Parking Lot Birth
Delivering her second daughter, Anderson expected her delivery to be planned out and easy. But it seemed like it was very sporadic and quick when the baby decided it wanted to come out right in the parking lot. Luckily, Anderson’s midwife Sandra Lobaina was quick to respond to the delivery after the Anderson’s made a panicked call on the way to the birthing center. She rushed out the door when she saw the car pull up and there was pretty much a few seconds before Anderson took a few steps and started pushing. She knew the baby was coming out and just wanted her to be safe. In the video, you could see Lobaina catch the baby as she was delivered through the side of Anderson’s shorts. This quick instinct really is a jaw-dropping moment and a miracle that was all caught on camera.
“Her husband and I were thinking about picking her up before the baby came and taking her inside, or maybe pulling her shorts off,” Lobaina told the Sun Sentinel. “But if we had done that, the baby probably would have come out in the air or flopped down. Really, the only thing to do was to pull the shorts to the side.” Thankfully, Lobaina was there to catch the baby that they later named Julia.
Susan’s Delivery Went Viral On Social Media
Of course, once this amazing video was released, Natural Birth Works has been receiving a ton of buzz on social media. Lobaina has been praised for keeping Anderson so calm during the parking lot birth and her natural instincts to protect the baby. “It’s so crazy. We never expected all this attention. It’s just mind-boggling. We are so happy that it brought smiles to people’s faces and it brought a little joy in the world during this craziness,” Lobaina told the Miami Herald. She went on to explain that a lot of women have uncommon births like this after the baby decides it wants to come out right then and there. You also may have noticed in the video a few police officers standing off to the side. Lobaina insisted that they stand back to give Anderson her space and privacy during the birth.
Anderson credited the birthing center for making her feel comfortable and allowing her to establish such a good relationship with them. “I always refer to my support team, and I think that if I hadn’t had our older daughter with them if I didn’t already have that relationship, I would have been much more panicky.” That definitely explains why she looked so calm during this parking lot birth. “But I kind of already knew the movements, so I was more calm than a new mother would have been” she continued. Baby Julia and her mom are both happy and healthy and are doing well after the unconventional delivery.
